Today we made simple circuits using a bulb, bulb holder, wires and a battery!

RSA Safety

The RSA came to our school to teach all the classes about road safety. We learned about how to cross the road safely watching out for cars and cyclists! We all received a safety licence!

MS Readathon

Well done to all who took part in the MsReadathon. Leah and Jenson from our class raised a large amount of money for the fantastic cause and received prizes from the charity! Well done and we hope more children will take part next year!

Grandparents Day!

We were delighted that so many grandparents could make our Grandparents Day! The children gave their grannies and grandad's a tour of our classroom and showed off all their fantastic work! They all then sat down for a cup of tea and a board game! It was a great afternoon!

Fighting Words

We were lucky to be invited to Fighting Words writing centre in Glencoe's. Fighting Words was set up originally by Roddy Doyle and we loved hisbook Rover Saves Christmas which we read in December. The children had to work together with Mark and his team to decide on a character, his greatest wish, his greatest fear and the plot.

Once the story was two pages in, the children then write their own individual ending to the story. Thank you to all the volunteers for a great day!
